Description

The City of Kosse is searching for the right police officer to join our team.  As a small-town officer, in a small department, the qualified candidate must be motivated and able to work well on their own.  The candidate must have strong communication skills, be outgoing and willing to get involved in our community.  We are looking for an officer who is willing to learn, get additional training and schooling and is not technologically obsolete. 

The City of Kosse offers state of the art police equipment and vehicles, paid training, paid vacations, low employee contribution medical insurance and TMRS retirement.  We also offer a slower paced environment and family like atmosphere.  Starting salary is $48,510 yearly negotiable with the right experience.

Requirements

Duties of a police officer include, but are not limited to enforcing Federal, State and Local laws, assisting with code compliance and inspections, assisting fire and EMS, patrol, and helping to improve the quality of life and services for our residents and visitors.  Applicants must be Texas certified peace officers, have a valid driver’s license, have a high school diploma and must possess strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
