The City of Lampasas is currently accepting applications for the position of Park Maintenance Technician.  

Summary of Position

Maintains city parks and recreation facilities by performing various manual labor duties.

Starting hourly rate is $16.13, DOQ, plus excellent benefits.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Knowledge of:  park maintenance; and operation of light machinery

Skill/Ability to:  use hand and power tools; operate mower, tractors, and other equipment; understand and follow instructions; interpret policies and procedures; communicate effectively; and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.

Acceptable Experience and Training 

o    High school diploma, or its equivalent;
o    or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certificates and Licenses Required 

o    Valid Texas drivers’ license
o    Herbicide and Pesticide Applicator Certification is desirable
o    Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is desirable
