Description

The Accounting Director is a key member of a mission-driven organization that values learning, service, and community. This role oversees the day-to-day financial operations while also helping guide long-term financial planning. You’ll work closely with leadership and the governing board to ensure the organization’s resources are managed responsibly, transparently, and in support of the library’s mission.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted auditing principles.
Strong integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage deadlines, problem-solve, and adapt as needs change.
Clear and friendly communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid state driver’s license.

Preferred

CPA certification.
