Description
The City Administrator serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Clarendon and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of City government under the direction of the City Council. The City Administrator oversees municipal operations, manages City finances and personnel, implements the policies established by the City Council, and works to provide efficient and responsive municipal services.

Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the City and supervise City departments and employees.
Administer and enforce ordinances, resolutions, policies, and directives adopted by the City Council.
Prepare and administer the annual operating budget and monitor City finances.
Oversee purchasing and the expenditure of City funds in accordance with applicable laws and City policy.
Keep the Mayor and City Council informed of the City's financial condition, operations, and significant issues.
Attend City Council meetings and provide information and recommendations on matters before the Council.
Recommend policies, ordinances, and administrative improvements that promote efficient City operations.
Work with engineers, attorneys, auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies on matters affecting the City.
Represent the City in meetings with citizens, businesses, governmental agencies, and community organizations.
Assist in the preparation and administration of grants and other funding opportunities.
Respond to citizen concerns and work to provide effective municipal services.
Perform other duties assigned by the City Council.
