Description
Candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications:
Progressively responsible executive or senior-management experience in municipal government or a comparable public organization.
Experience directing departments, supervising senior staff, and addressing organizational and personnel matters.
Experience preparing or administering operating and capital budgets and managing public funds and resources.
Experience advising and working with an elected governing body and implementing adopted policies.
Knowledge of municipal operations, which may include infrastructure, utilities, public safety, planning, economic development, procurement, and intergovernmental relations.
Education, professional training, certifications, and other qualifications relevant to municipal executive administration.
The City Council will consider each candidate’s complete professional record and combination of education, training, experience, leadership ability, and demonstrated capacity to perform the duties of City Manager.
