The City of Round Rock is offering multiple internship opportunities across various departments this summer! Whether you’re passionate about communications, planning, finance, public works, recreation, or community engagement, we have a spot for you. As a City intern, you’ll:
- Work on meaningful projects that impact the City, its residents, and other departments.

In addition to your department work, you’ll attend training sessions led by our Organizational Development Trainer to sharpen your professional skills; think leadership, communication, and career readiness.

General Services – Building Construction: Explore commercial construction or assist with project management tools and documentation.
General Services – Fleet: Provide administrative support for data entry, work orders, scheduling, inventory, and reporting.
Public Works – Logistics: Assist in the warehouse by delivering requested items to the job sites.
Public Works – Transportation: Learn Transportation Operations first-hand through working alongside inspectors, project managers and on our crews.

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
- Enrolled full-time in high school; and
- Classified as a Senior student; and
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
