Description
The Fire Chief is currently inviting submittals for the position of Fire Lieutenant. A Fire Lieutenant is responsible for supervising and executing a myriad of technical tasks associated with fire prevention, suppression, emergency medical services, apparatus operations, and training activities. Working under the direction of the Battalion Chief, Lieutenants oversee personnel assigned to their firehouse, ensuring safety, efficiency, and readiness. Lieutenants play a pivotal role in emergency situations, apparatus and facility maintenance, public relations, and ensuring adherence to fire safety standards.
There will be an assessment process for a full-time lieutenant promotional list. This list is good for one (1) year but can be extended for up to 6 additional months.

Where: Tomball Firehouse 1 Classroom

Salary: $23.73 per hour (approximately $71,522.22 with FLSA Overtime)
Assessment Center will include:
Command and Control Scenario Assessment
Interview Board – Panel of 5 assigned by the Fire Chief
Fire Chief Interview (Directly after Interview Board)

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Meet all requirements of Firefighter
- 2 Years as a Driver/Operator -or- 4 years as a certified firefighter
- Certified Instructor I and Officer I through TCFP at time of promotion.
- Completion of NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 6 months of promotion.
- Any of these may be substituted with other public safety experience.
