Description

This position will be responsible for enforcing state and municipal laws and city ordinances; patrolling assigned areas; responding to calls for service; conducting criminal and accident investigations; and engaging in proactive, community-oriented policing.

Requirements

Applicants must have a current Basic TCOLE Certification and a valid Texas Driver License with an acceptable driving record. Applicants must be willing to submit to a comprehensive background investigation and successfully pass an oral interview board.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, be in good physical and mental health, and be able to successfully complete physical, psychological, and drug screening examinations. Applicants must possess good communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and school-related schedules as assigned.
