Why Italy PD?
The Italy Police Department offers officers the opportunity to be police officers—not just call takers. Our low call volume allows time for proactive policing, traffic enforcement, criminal interdiction, and community engagement.
Located along Interstate 35E, State Highway 77, and State Highway 34, our city provides excellent opportunities for criminal interdiction and proactive enforcement.
Our administration strongly supports professional development and routinely sends officers to quality training throughout the year. We are also working toward re-establishing our K-9 program, creating future opportunities for officers interested in specialized assignments.
