Description

 We currently have an opening for three full-time Peace Officers (Must possess TCOLE Peace Officer Certification -OR- Be currently enrolled in a Peace Officer Academy). 

 We will be accepting applications September 1st through September 30th, 2026 @ 5 PM 

A full and thorough background investigation is required, including a polygraph exam 

All uniforms and equipment will be provided by the department.

 Salary is based on 171 hours worked in 28 Days (2,223 hrs. per year)

 Other benefits

15 Paid holidays per year =  $3,336.00 per year
$75 per month uniform allowance =  $900 per year
TMRS retirement 5% (City Matches 2 to 1)
City provided Health Ins. / Dental / Vision for employee (after 90 days) 

Incentive / Education Pay (Paid only for the highest of each)

Int. Peace Officer   $1200   Advanced Peace Officer $1800    Master Peace Officer $2400

Associates Degree $1200   Bachelor’s Degree        $1800      Master’s Degree    $2400

Example:  an officer with a bachelor’s degree and a Master Peace Officer License earns an additional $4,200 per year.
