Description
Irving Community Television Network seeks an experienced Anchor/Producer to Host and Manage the city’s News and Information reporting. Duties include handling a variety of professional responsibilities involved in producing television programming for Irving Community Television Network (ICTN) and videos for various city departments to be distributed to internal / external customers. This includes writing, producing, and overseeing production and planning of scheduled programs and specials; on camera anchoring, reporting, and moderating; and overseeing special projects as assigned. Duties also include helping freelance reporters and with intern training programs; evaluating the performance of interns and freelance talent; and assisting with budget preparation and administration. Position requires knowledge of government, economic and public safety activities in the City of Irving or a comparable organization; great host presence in studio, live on location, and as a representative of the City of Irving in the community; experience writing for long form projects as well as tight social media videos; ability to cover evening and weekend events and quickly script stories, plus planning for in-depth series and programs; relationship building with city leaders, departments, employees, non-profit organizations and the public, and the ability to lead as well as participate as a team member, working with the entire City of Irving Communications Department on city initiatives and requests.
PAY GRADE GG22 / FULL PAY RANGE $5,634 - $7,939 PER MONTH

Requirements
A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent; three years of increasingly responsible experience in communications; and television and video writing skills required. Must have knowledge of television production and possess, or be able to obtain, a valid Texas driver’s license. Hours vary and will include evenings and weekends.
