BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This is position is responsible for collecting fees, selling, preparing and renting equipment and supplies, helping to maintain the golf course and its facilities.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- General knowledge of golfing equipment and supplies
- Ability to make change accurately and receive and account for money
- Ability to meet and work with the general public in a friendly and courteous manner
- Knowledge of tournament coordination and all aspects of Pro Shop operations
- Ability to work effectively with minimum direct supervision
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent preferred; OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
A Valid Class C Texas driver license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND SAFETY HAZARDS
Primarily an indoor or covered environment with the ability to operate outdoors when needed. May be exposed to extreme heat and cold during summer and winter months.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Standard office equipment including multi-line telephone, computer, fax machine, copier, scanner, shredder, printer, etc.
Golf carts, driving range picker vehicle, green and tee mowers and golf green cup changing handheld equipment, various maintenance equipment
