Description

The Senior Planner administers, reviews, and facilitates the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Subdivision Ordinance. The position oversees development and zoning requests, demographics, long-range planning, and downtown planning to support orderly growth and community development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field.
Three (3) years of urban planning, urban design, zoning project development, and/or zoning enforcement.
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification preferred.
Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license.
Must pass MVR check.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
