Allen is a home rule city with council-manager form of government. This combines the policy leadership of elected officials with the managerial expertise of an appointed city manager. The Allen City Council is comprised of a Mayor and six Council members who are elected at-large and serve three-year, staggered terms.
Company History
From our humble beginnings as a railroad water station, Allen has always been about connections and service. We are not a small town anymore, with just over 103,900 residents in our dynamic and diverse community, but we're not overgrown either. Conveniently located 25 miles north of Dallas, we have a thoughtful blend of residential and commercial development to ensure a distinct presence in North Texas and maintain Allen as an outstanding place to call home. Even tough we are expected to reach a population of 122,000 at final build out, we have made careful decisions to stay connected to our roots, pave the wave for the future, and build a city that is just the right fit for almost anyone.
