Description
Responsible for completing research, analysis, and providing reports on various Denton Municipal Electric (DME) operations and strategy development and implementation to communicate DME activities and programs accurately and positively to internal and external stakeholders.

DUTIES
- Collaborate with Client Relations Specialist to assist with development, analyzing and reporting on programs and projects.
- Complete research, analysis, data validation, compliance review, and forecasting on data obtained from reports, data entry integrity, program/projects/department processes and procedures are met, and revenue and/or expenditures related to DME operations; recommend solutions regarding improvements and compliance.
- Maintain and complete routine reports; prepare and file regulatory reports as mandated including but not limited to, the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Environmental Protection Agency, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Electric Reliability Council of Texas, and other State regulatory agencies for both informational and rate making matters.
- Review data and prepare calculations for DME project-related costs; provide recommendations and cost data to leadership.
- Prepare and complete detailed reports on rate-of-return analyses, customer-contribution calculations, and other potential revenue streams regarding customers in single, double, and triple certified areas.
- Track, analyze, and report distributed generation interconnections, EV Charger usage, and electric vehicle loads.
- Assist in creating solutions to customer energy challenges and/or service needs.
- Identify and resolve application issues within the Meter Data Management System, Customer Information System, and other systems necessary for electric utility operations.
- Review and evaluate existing and potential DME services, products and/or policies in response to industry changes and customer expectations; provide leadership with finding details and recommendations, as needed.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and/or participating in various DME activities to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Research, identify, and provide information on grant funding opportunities; prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive relationships with DME key accounts and/or customers and address challenges impacting DME/customers and project/deadline support, as appropriate.
- Provide recommendations and implement DME communication plans to promote the DME brand, increase awareness of
- DME programs, and keep citizens engaged and informed regarding projects and activities through various channels.

- Environment: Works in an office setting office; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.
- Travel: Travels to City of Denton buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position. Must be able to work after normal business hours andweekends, as needed.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Science, Finance, Marketing, or related field; and,
- Three (3) years’ experience in analytical work, or related field,

- Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must have and maintain a valid Class “C” Driver’s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class “C” driver’s license and state required minimum automobile liability insurance within 90 days of hire per state law)
