Job Title: Chief of Police
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: City Administrator
Salary: DOE
Benefits: Health/Vision/Dental paid by employer (employee only), Vacation and Sick Pay, TMRS contribution from employer
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; Associates or greater in criminal justice or related field preferred
- Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Responsible for preparing and adhering to annual budget for approval by council
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software preferred
- Prepare reports for and attend monthly city council meetings
- Background check, medical clearance, and drug testing required
- Valid Drivers License & a clean driving record a must

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Office and field environments; must be available for irregular hours, nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
May require attendance at public events, hearings, and extended incident responses.
