POLICE EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The City of Kennedale, Texas (pop. 10,233) Police Department is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant. Kennedale is located just southeast of Fort Worth. We are a family-oriented community providing a refuge from the hectic pace of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Are you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of law enforcement? We’re looking for a Police Executive Administrative Assistant to support our department’s daily operations and help keep our community running smoothly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage correspondence, records, and databases
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and department calendars
Assist with payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting
Create and manage engaging social media content
Assist in planning and coordinating annual events
Serve as a key liaison between the police department and the public
Support the Chief of Police and command staff with administrative tasks
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
1–3 years of administrative or office experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and records management systems
Experience with social media platforms and design tools (like Canva)
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
Prior law enforcement experience preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Ability to pass a background investigation, including polygraph and psychological evaluation
Ability to obtain CJIS certification
SALARY
The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00/hr
