Description
FUNCTION: Supervises Field Service personnel and leads daily outside plant technical operations and installations in accordance with company policy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, schedule and assist personnel and activities related to the installation, repair and optimization of C&I equipment.
- Inspect and approve all work performed by the Field Services team.
- Ensure prompt completion of work orders and related activities.
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports on Field Services activities and projects to Management.
- Communicate progression, repair, and restoration statuses to any and all interested parties.
- Ensure quality of work performed by self and team members meets established technical and safety standards and company policies.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately, promptly and is readily available for access.
- Complete bills of materials, cost estimates and order materials needed for approved maintenance and repairs.
- Work with C&I Project Coordinator to ensure wiring diagrams and map databases are updated with any field repair/replacement/refurbishments affecting system changes per company design specifications.
- Develop training plans for employees to obtain knowledge of GEUS’ current equipment and of evolving technology in the industry.
- Assist the daily activities of technicians including after-hours emergency support.
- Ensure all designated work is planned, supervised, completed and inspected and errors in installation or service are promptly resolved.
- Work with managers, supervisors and employees to promote a positive attitude and good employee morale.
- Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
- Perform other duties as requested by the department manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma (employment history demonstrating increasing technical and supervisory responsibility)
- Ten years outside plant experience to include installation, outside plant, and fiber.
- Ability to comply with the physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, management, employees.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Work is often performed in awkward or uncomfortable positions involving stooping, climbing, pulling, bending, reaching, and the handling of tools or material of sufficient weight to cause additional physical stress.
- Work is primarily outside. The employee is required to work outside in inclement weather as required to perform necessary duties.
- Works in proximity of energized power lines.
