GIS Analyst II

Performs routine complex GIS data analyses, database, and mapping related assignments for several city departments. 

The employee will have the responsibility of:

•         Having a working knowledge of GIS principles, ESRI software, topology rules, subtype and domain implementation, utility networks and cadastral principles
•         Assisting in the evaluation of city-wide projects for GIS databases
•         Producing inter-departmental mapping products, including general mapping, GIS web applications, modeling, or specialized analytical reporting
•         Having a working knowledge of a GPS data collector to collect City assets and process GPS information
•         Overseeing the assignment of addresses for all properties platted or developed within the City limits and acts as a regional 911 addressing coordinator
•         Acting as the City Works Asset Management System Administrator and possesses a working knowledge of City Works Designer including the ability to modify XML code
•         Appling a working knowledge of spatial data workflows and procedures, robust spatial analysis, and advanced use of Esri software products such as ArcMap\Catalogue, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS for Portal, ArcGIS Online and other ESRI partner applications

Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

•  Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field; and
•  Three (3) years of experience in a GIS position or related field required; or
•  Any equivalent combination of related education and experience 
   

Special Requirements:

• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license within ninety (90) days of hire
• Must have a valid driver’s license by date-of-hire
• Physically be capable of moving about on construction work sites and under adverse field conditions
