Eastland is located 90 miles West of Fort Worth and 60 miles East of Abilene along Interstate 20. Eastland is the county seat of Eastland County and our community is around 4000 people with daytime population rising to about 7-8 thousand. The department consists of 13 full time sworn officers with 3 civilians. We are pro-active and the community is pro law enforcement. We also have a great working relationship with other departments in the county. We pride ourselves on fostering great relationships within the department that are more like family than coworkers. We are not far from the big cities and we still have the small-town benefits. Eastland ISD has great schools and extra-curricular programs. Eastland County and surrounding counties also offer awesome hunting and fishing opportunities. Eastland is a great place to raise a family.
