Description

Conducts activities of police department personnel on assigned shift/s or area/s to ensure the protection, safety, and welfare of citizens and visitors while facilitating the protection of the Town of Copper Canyon property. Though primarily assigned to the evening shift, may be required to work other shifts infrequently. Performs investigatory roles as assigned as well.

Essential Duties

• Attends daily briefing sessions regarding criminal activity, special assignments, and events as necessary.
• Cares for and maintains uniforms, equipment, buildings, and vehicles.
• Responds to calls, conducts preliminary investigations of incidents, and protects crime scenes.
• Interviews suspects, witnesses, and victims. 
• Provides general service, courtesy escorts, information, and assistance to citizens.
• May act as a departmental representative or liaison to internal and external groups, as designated.
• Continues to perform police officer patrol duties. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic TCOLE Peace Office Certificate          
• Valid Driver’s License                                    
• High School Diploma                                     
• Pass a Background Check                              
• Psychological     
• Work weekends, night, and holidays
