Description
The City of Mineola Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Patrol Officer. Patrol officers work 12 hour shifts with normally every other weekend off and are provided excellent equipment including fully outfitted patrol cars with LED lights, in-car camera and computers, spikes, patrol rifles and shotguns. The Department provides all uniforms, weapons, body armor and duty gear.
Requirements
Candidates must be TCLOE Certified or in the process of obtaining an intermediate license within 6 months and have two years patrol experience. Applicants must be of high moral character, highly motivated, dependable, community service oriented and in good physical condition. Must be 21 years of age and a high school graduate. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates considered for employment will be subjected to an extensive background investigation, oral interview board, polygraph, psychological and medical exams, drug test and other tests as deemed necessary. Depending on prior experience candidates may be required to successfully complete 17 weeks of field training. A job description is available upon request.
