The purpose of this position is to prevent crime, enforce laws, protect life and property, preserve the peace, and apprehend criminals.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.

Some experience is required.

Special Requirements:
This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing during the course of employment.

Must pass a polygraph, psychological, and pre-employment physical exam

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to be considered for this position

Licenses and Certificates:
Valid driver's license with good driving record and ability to maintain while employed.

Must obtain a TCOLE license and Basic Certificate within twelve months of employment and maintain throughout employment.
