The City of Wolfe City is hiring a TCOLE certified police officer to work evening shift, 4 pm till 12 am Wednesday and Thursday and Sunday and 6pm to 2am Friday and Saturday nights off Mon and Tues. TMRS and take home car if residence is within 30 mile radius of the station. Able to enforce local state and federal laws protecting life and property and maintaining public order within their jurisdiction. The ideal candidate would be an officer with at least 5 years of patrol experience, who is self motivated and community policing orientated. Wolfe City is a growing town which welcomes the expansion and is looking for someone to help build the department with motivation and public awareness.
Requirements
The requirements are a high school diploma or GED. Must have a TCOLE certified peace officers license in good standing. The applicant must have at least 3-5 years of patrol experience. Must be able to patrol assigned areas via vehicle, foot or ATV. Must be able to enforce traffic laws and identify suspicious behavior or hazards and act accordingly. Must be able to respond immediately to 911 calls. Must be able to write cursive, should be familiar with Kologic and ICS programs. Should be trained in CPR basic first aid. Should be Taser certified. You will be trained in basic crime scene procedures and evidence collection as listed in the departments policy manual. Must have the ability to conduct preliminary and follow up investigations at crime scenes. The ability to interview witnesses, victims and suspects and to make lawful arrests. The candidate should be able to physically perform the requirements of the job. The candidate will have to pass a psychological evaluation, have a valid drivers license in the state of Texas, and be able to maintain composure in high-stress situations. There will be a physical examination that will also have to be passed and a extensive background check.
