Job Opportunity: Utility Construction Supervisor
Are you a leader who enjoys hands-on work and making a tangible impact on our community's infrastructure? The City of Nacogdoches is looking for a dedicated Utility Construction Supervisor to join our Public Works team.
What You'll Do:
Lead the Crew: Supervise utility construction, maintenance and repair projects, including water lines, sewer systems and storm drains.
Drive Operations: Plan and organize daily work orders, manage budgets and oversee team performance.
Ensure Excellence: Provide professional communication with citizens and champion city goals, policies and safety standards.
What You Bring:
Experience: High School Diploma / GED plus 2+ years of experience in utility construction, maintenance or equipment operation.
Leadership: Proven ability to mentor staff and manage field operations.
Certifications:
- Valid Texas Driver License.
- Class B Commercial Driver License (or ability to obtain within 6 months). (Possession of a Class A or B CDL adds certificate pay up to $160.00 per month or when license is obtained including type of endorsements)
- Class C Water Distribution & Class II Wastewater Collection Certifications (or ability to obtain within 2 years).
