Description
SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Center Supervisor, the Customer Service Associate (CSA) monitors Parks and Recreation facilities, with a focus on the Bedford Senior Center and its hosted activities, ensuring compliance with municipal rules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Registers and Manages Transactions: Registers program participants and potential facility users, processes payments, and manages program and reservation refunds.
- Telephone Communication: Answers incoming calls, provides information to callers, routes calls to appropriate personnel, and handles outgoing calls.
- Clerical Support: Provides administrative support, including the preparation, documentation, and reconciliation of daily financial transactions at the Center.
- Patron Assistance: Informs patrons about available facilities, programs, activities, and usage guidelines.
- Record Maintenance: Maintains accurate records and logs of participants and activities.
- Facility Coordination: Assists Senior Center staff in scheduling and coordinating facility use to prevent conflicts.
- Marketing Material Creation: Designs and assembling of marketing materials, including signs and posters.
- General Office Duties: Performs various office tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, and emailing.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the facilities through light custodial duties.
- Special Projects: Undertakes additional assignments and special projects as required.
- Attendance and Professionalism: Ensures regular and timely attendance, maintains a professional and cordial demeanor, and is available for occasional evening and weekend shifts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma / GED; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Desired: Certified in CPR
SPECIALIZED KSA'S
Must possess a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a variety of people.
