Job Announcement:
The City of Webster’s Public Works Department seeks a reliable team player for the position of Support Services Crewman II. The purpose of this position is to preserve City Rights-of-Way to include, but not limited to City streets, sidewalks, and signs, and support general services of the Public Works Department. This is accomplished by providing street, land, and general maintenance services. Other duties may include performing mosquito control activities, providing animal control related services, providing traffic control and interfacing with other City employees and citizens.

- Starting salary range is approximately $20.116 - $24.509 hourly, commensurate with experience.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalent, with over 1 year of relevant experience.
- Valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License
- Must be able to obtain two of the following certifications within 6 months of hire: Commercial Driver’s License, TX Animal Control Certification, Weed & Pest Control Certification, Structural Pest Control Board Certified Applicators License, Certified Pool Operator, Back Flow or Arborist Certification.
Special Requirements:
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with the public and City employees. Must have basic knowledge of general maintenance equipment: landscaping equipment, hand and power tools, air compressor, post driver, dollies, and other small, motorized equipment. This is an essential services position. Employees in essential services positions will be required to provide services in the course and scope of their employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster’s citizens per the City’s Emergency Services Guidelines.
