The City of Starbase is looking for a proven, steady-handed leader to serve as Police Sergeant, the first-line supervisor who turns the Department's mission into daily reality on the ground. Under the general supervision of the Chief of Police, the Police Sergeant serves as a first-line supervisor responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of an assigned patrol shift or specialized assignment. The Sergeant provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to sworn and civilian personnel while ensuring compliance with departmental policies, applicable laws, and professional standards. The Police Sergeant performs law enforcement duties, supervises criminal investigations, responds to critical incidents, evaluates employee performance, promotes community-oriented policing, and ensures the effective delivery of police services to protect life and property in a fast-growing, mission-driven community at the frontier of human spaceflight.
